I received lots of comments about this article starting almost the minute I posted it. I've added a few bits in response, but wanted to call out one thing in particular. In the article I said to avoid BA. About half the people who wrote to me about that particular comment agreed, the other half disagreed, pointing out that BA at least has an "if you can lift it into the overhead bin, you can carry it on policy." One person did note that you should probably carry a copy of their policy printed from their Web site with you, as some BA employees don't seem to know it.
